As Memorial Day approaches, we would like to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in order to keep this great country safe and free.
Whether or not you personally know someone who has served, it’s important to acknowledge their sacrifice and there are many fun and unique ways to do just that. Many people choose to do that through arts and crafts. With mostly common household items, you can make an assortment of things like American flags, star wreaths or even just adding a bit of red, white and blue to your home or wardrobe for the extended weekend.
If arts and crafts isn’t your thing, a Memorial Day cookout is a great way to spend the day. As the unofficial start to summer, it almost seems like an American tradition to fire up the grill on what’s usually a beautiful day. So take the opportunity this weekend to gather up your friends and family and spend time together celebrating our troops and the sacrifices they made.
Of course, there are many other ways to spend the day and to honor our troops so no matter what you choose to do, we want you to have a safe and happy Memorial Day!
